I was taught crochet over 50 years ago when it was thought that I was a danger with two knitting needles. Of all the arts that I have tried, the ones I like best are textured, sculpted and three dimensional. Crochet combines fibers of all kinds, including non-traditional fibers made from plastic (Plarn), with stitching techniques that can clothe us, decorate our homes, and carry our gear for the day. All the wools, exotics, silk, bamboo, cotton and acrylic yarns intrigue the senses with color, feel and heat.
